This piece grew out of the feeling of standing deep in the woods and noticing how light moves through the trees in fragments rather than all at once. The strong vertical trunk anchors the composition, while the surrounding branches and layered colour create a sense of movement, energy, and changing seasons. I wanted it to feel like a memory of the forest rather than a literal landscape — a moment of stillness inside all the wild, tangled growth.
