Inspired by the Canadian Rockies and the vivid, almost surreal colors that appear when light hits water, snow, and stone at just the right moment. I was drawn to the contrast between bold, expressive color and the grounding structure of the landscape. The winding shoreline and clustered trees came from a desire to create a sense of discovery—like stepping off a trail and finding a hidden, untouched view. It’s also rooted in that feeling you get in the mountains: small, present, and completely at peace.
