The Quiet Place - 12x12" Original
There is a moment in the woods when everything goes still.
The Quiet Place is my walk into that stillness. Tall larches turning gold against the deep greens of spruce, the forest floor alive with the last fire of autumn reds and pinks.
I painted it in acrylic, then tucked in small pieces of Japanese chiyogami paper — you’ll see them glinting in the trees and the undergrowth — little patterns that catch the light like leaves catching sun. It’s that layered, textured feeling of being deep in a fall forest where time slows down.
